  • Specific Responsibilities

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

     Clear understanding and management products within the brand(s) of responsibility
     Critical path mgt.
     Manages and ensures option guidelines are adhered to. Increase option count bought % vs. option count sampled.
     Ensure sample costs are in line with budget.Achieve gross margins


    Strategy & Innovation:
    • Understand and manage the critical path ensuring all key dates are met
    • Understand targeted margin and ensure this is met through negation of product cost with relevant factories
    • Support in building product strategy ensuring brand image is maintained and targets are met
    • Work closely with Brand Manager to ensure alignment of product stratergy

     

    Operations & Results:
    • Ensure all relevant sampling is available for key dates
    • Liaise with factories and China office on development samples
    • Liaise with Creative Department on CADs where required
    • Manage product price targets and RRP
    • Manage cross costing when required, with relevant factories
    • Manage processes post purchase order including testing and sampling requirements
    • Build and maintain master range sheets
    • Negotiate lead times and place official POs with factories
    • Work with factories on MOQs ensuring careful management of raw materials
    • Create and maintain product codes in ERP
    • Any other ad hoc duties

     

    Customers & Relationships:
    • Support Account Manager in buying meetings
    • Primary liaison with overseas vendors for Product Development from product specifications to sample approval
    • Consults with the appropriate departments or Managers on all non-routine decisions
    • Work with Quality Compliance department regarding any compliance issues
