  • Specific Responsibilities

    Global Brands Group is looking for an experienced Internal Communications Consultant to join the Global Communications Department based in New York.


    In this role you will help drive key strategic and tactical communications by creating a wide variety of compelling content targeting various internal and external audiences. The ideal candidate will be an experienced manager who is capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.


    This is a challenging and rewarding role for a creative self-starter with a broad communications skill set. This position is a hands-on role, which involves persuasive writing, diligent project management, and the ability to interpret and tailor communications to various groups of stakeholders globally.


    In the role, you will partner with businesses and functional areas to help them share their news and updates across the Group, as well as support the department on creating communications for key corporate initiatives.


    The ideal candidate will be creative and agile, manage concurrent assignments and have the ability to self-prioritize their workload to achieve deadlines. In addition to having excellent English writing and editing skills, we’re looking for someone with previous experience writing for a global audience.



    • Lead internal communications strategy and support the execution of messaging that drives employee engagement
    • Writing and editing engaging content for a variety of internal and external communications, including the corporate intranet site, HR communications, business updates, press releases and social media.
    • Delegate projects and oversee the workload of other communications team members.
    • Weekly/monthly reporting consisting of both qualitative and quantitative measurements that help evaluate success of communications initiatives.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or related field required.
    • 5-10 years of experience working in internal communications or a community management environment.
    • Solid understanding of internal and external communications tactics.
    • Excellent communicator with proven track record of effectively managing projects and delivering internal communications programs.
    • A planner with a nimble and proactive approach.
    • Strong collaborator and business partner
    • Superior organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
    • Event management and PR experience an asset.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
