• Design Assistant

    Work Location US-CA-Los Angeles
  • Specific Responsibilities



    -Coordinate in house sampling; prepare pattern requests for patternmakers; issue cut tickets; follow up on cutting requests and sample sewing.


    -Partner with Associate Designer & Designer to place orders for sample materials, including fabric, trim and send outs.


    -Support Designer and Associate Designer in preparations for style outs and line presentations, including sample racks, initial line sheets, presentation boards and any other necessary presentation materials.


    -Create PLM folders for all styles in development, including folder summary and bill of materials.


    -Communicate and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure design elements are completed and executed accordingly.


    -Assist with tasks as assigned by Designer and Associate Designer.


    -Promote adherence to the Corporate Specifications Protocol, BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP Code of Conduct, and Purpose, Values, Behaviors.


    -Holds self accountable for work commitments and outcomes.


    Skills and Requirements



    An individual must be able to complete each essential duty and meet the following qualifications:


    -Creative with excellent sketching abilities and a refined taste level.


    -Basic understanding of garment construction, fit and finishes.


    -Strong verbal and written communication skills.


    -Positive attitude and interpersonal skills.


    -Ability to multi task


    -Strong follow up skills.


    -Adaptable in a fast paced, high growth work environment.





    -Minimum of Associate Degree in Fashion Design


    -Minimum of 6 months experience in apparel design with nationally or internationally recognized retailers/brands


    -Proficient in Microsoft Office, WebPDM, FlexPLM is a plus
