  • Specific Responsibilities


     To manage the purchasing of stock across designated brands for the Footwear and Accessories division
     Using a strategic approach to purchasing, support the sales department in maximising sales & margin
     Work closely with the Product Managers & sourcing base to ensure best possible factory prices are achieved on all purchases




    Strategy & Innovation:

    • Work closely with Product Management, Sales & Finance to support the company strategy, business priorities and targets
    • Develop a strategic relationship with the Sales Director to ensure there is suitable stock to maximise sales potential
    • Work with suppliers on negotiating buy quantities to ensure correct levels of free stock whilst maintaining product margins
    • Provide seasonal sell in information for all brands to Brand Management to support range direction
    • Producing and presenting a range of financial/non-financial reports for Department Heads and the leadership team as required


    Operations & Results:
    • Support the Head of Merchandising in setting seasonal OTB, critical paths & margin targets
    • Ensure all stock is ordered in line with OTB and critical paths for all brands
    • Oversee the placement of POs with suppliers
    • Manage and reorder stock in line with business requirements, actioning repeats in a timely manner to maximise sales opportunities
    • Maintain product records in all systems, working with sourcing partners to obtain all required product information in a timely manner
    • Manage master range sheets after handover from Product Management
    • Any other adhoc duties when required


    Customers & Relationships:

    • Oversee the communication of changes to the range to the sales department, including cancellations & oversolds
    • Develop relationships with key partners, both internal & external, to maintain a collaborative working approach
    • Develop strong relationships with factories and sourcing office


    Leadership & Teams:

    • Lead and manage the Merchandising team

    • Commercial awareness, with a strong understanding of Footwear & Accessories
    • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written to include report writing and group presentations
