    CAA-GBG, a joint venture created by Creative Artists Agency and Global Brands Group, is the world’s largest brand management company. With 24 offices in 20 countries, CAA-GBG advises on and manages all aspects of brand extension programs, including branding strategies, market targeting, product development, retail activations, licensee acquisitions, and multi-territory franchising. Clients of the joint venture include many of the world’s leading corporate brands, including Netflix, Hershey’s, Kodak, Playboy, Billboard, Ambev and renowned celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry and Beyoncé and some desirable lifestyle brand and entertainment companies, as well.

     

    This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can juggle multiple projects and thrives in a changing, fast-paced, commercial and creative environment. The candidate must be sales driven, a self-starter, committed and highly motivated in delivering deals as well as implementing the licensing strategy for our portfolio of Brands.

    They will have the ability to pitch and negotiate with key decision makers, provide brand and licensee management and must display a ‘can do’ attitude to working across all business functions both internal and external.

     

    Main Tasks

     

    • Drive long-term high revenue partnerships.
    • Researching, developing and writing brand, retail and category strategy.
    • Strategic planning and implementation of the brand extension process.
    • Build broader knowledge within specific categories to achieve ‘category expert’ status.
    • Share insights on retail analysis, trend and trade performance.
    • Focus and deliver on the budget and KPI’s set.
    • Take responsibility for specific sectors and categories.
    • Responsible for the management of the whole brand extension process for specified brands.
    • Oversee and manage existing key licensees performance within specified categories.
    • Build, nurture and establish strong working relationships with licensees.
    • Identify and cultivate new retail relationships at all management levels.
    • Ensure brand extension is managed effectively.
    • Build a retail network across strategic sectors.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Work cohesively with other team members to deliver successful brand extension programmes.
    • Minimum of 3 years' Licensing experience and/or in a selling negotiation role.
    • Experience of working with businesses and key decision makers across multiple categories
    • Brazil specific contacts and retail/market experience
    • Ability to implement projects with a high level of detail and complexity.
    • Capacity to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize workload.
    • Positive can-do approach and solution orientated style.
    • Persuasive skills to influence others.
    • Preferred qualification - Degree.
    • Ability to communicate in both languages, Portuguese and English.
