  • Specific Responsibilities



    Responsible for Financial accounting team. Ensure compliance with the local regulations & requirements for Europe F&A business including monthly closing and annual statutory closing. To manage all external and internal audits, statutory accounts, inter-company positions, corporate and indirect tax.

    Strategy & Innovation:

    • Responsibility for ensuring all group reporting requirements are met
    • Payment approval for all payments
    • Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained

    ·        Project manage and consolidate reporting from the different system

    ·        Automate and continually improve reports and recommend ways to improve data flows and data management.



    Operations & Results:

    • Manage the month end close process, ensuring all accounting is completed to strict deadlines. Liaise with the Financial Planning & Analysis team to ensure results are communicated and issues resolved prior to submission of results.
    • Ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations are performed monthly and submitted on a timely basis for FD’s review. Review of all GL account recs and follow up on outstanding, aged and reconciling items.
    • Manage the year-end audit, statutory accounts filings and corporation tax work in cooperation with your external partners (Ernst & Young and PWC).
    • Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes
    • Managing the Credit Control function
    • Review monthly control and balance sheet accounts

    ·        Support the development, documentation and execution of new processes and systems. (AX, SAP, Nav, Access)

    • Any other ad hoc duties, as and when required


    Customers & Relationships:

    • Cash management and treasury duties
    • Overseeing the preparation of VAT, Corporation tax and other statutory returns
    • Prepare presentations to Directors and Senior Management Team


    Leadership & Teams:

    • Manage, coach and develop the Finance Accounting team to deliver individual, team and organisational goals

    ·        Reviewing all process and identify areas where improvement is needed




    Skills & Qualifications: 

    Knowledge Required

    • Familiar with the latest developments in IFRS.
    • Detailed knowledge of excel, SAP and MS Dynamics AX.


    • Qualified ACCA or equivalent experience working within a major accounting firm or an international group and at least 5 years PQE.
    • Possess strong analytical/planning skills, together with a strong accounting/commercial background.
    • Foreign language desirable (Italian)

    Technical Competencies

    • Need the ability to analyse financial data and draw sound conclusions and proposals.
    • Able to accurately but commercially interpret accounting literature and apply it to real situations.
