Financial Analyst (Cash)

Specific Responsibilities

The Cash Analyst will be responsible for reconciling Cash and Credit card accounts for all GBG retail stores and other balance sheet accounts as directed. Responsibilities will include researching all daily variances by using POS and bank software and communicating with Store associates. The Cash Analyst will perform other reconciliation and journal entries during closing as directed.


• Responsible for Retail /DTC financial support. Including the following:

o    Cash and Credit Card research and required actions

o    Month-end closing (associated JE’s & fluctuation analysis)

o    Balance Sheet reconciliations


• Research all variances related to cash and credit card reconciliations by communicating with the store associates and researching transactional data in the POS and bank software; take action as required
• Support Financial Analyst and Director, Retail Accounting with other closing related responsibilities, including but not limited to journal entries, account analyses, extracting reports from various systems
• Prepare reporting and systems updates as needed to support lease compliance and sales tax filings by store

Skills and Requirements

• 2+ years accounting experience with undergraduate degree or retail accounting experience
• Working knowledge of GAAP / accrual accounting
• Detail oriented
• SAP/BPC experience a plus
• Strong computer and Excel skills
• Ability to multi-task in a changing environment
• Ability to communicate effectively (written & oral)
• Ability to create ad hoc reports and analysis
• Associates degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
