Senior Art Director (BCBG Brands)


Specific Responsibilities

The Senior Art Director will develop and execute creative for all brand initiatives across the company website and related marketing channels. The Senior Art Director, in partnership with the Creative Director, will build and maintain the brand identity through consistent art direction with the photo studio and graphic design teams. He/she will be responsible for conceptualizing innovative brand concepts, as well as executing still and video assets that will appear in all customer channels. He/she will lead projects from concept to completion for a wide range of marketing outputs including, but not limited to, photo assets for the website and email, short-form video and interactive web experiences for social and ecommerce content. This position requires an extremely capable individual with design experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Must be self-motivated, a self-starter, tactful, adaptable and a multi-tasker who is passionate about fashion and ecommerce.



  • Lead the photo studio and graphic design teams to develop omnichannel product and brand stories.
  • Conceptualize and direct monthly ecommerce photoshoot campaigns that include still and video photography.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current trends in fashion ecommerce photography and graphic design and how they translate to the brand.
  • Develop brand guidelines for all aspects of the brand’s ecommerce website, including homepage, blog, product photography and email.
  • Develop concepts to align with overall brand strategy and marketing calendar.
  • Adhere to demands of production schedule and devote time necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Lead project managers to ensure project execution meets established schedules.
  • Contribute strong, inspirational and relevant creative thinking.
  • Ensure the creative team delivers on business objectives.
  • Help to shape the global creative vision for the ecommerce site in partnership with the VP of Ecommerce and Marketing and the Creative Director.
  • Ensure the highest standard of visual execution across all campaign creative elements.

Skills and Requirements

  • Experience working with high-visibility brands with many invested stakeholders: Marketing, Sales, Product Development, Social Media and Ecommerce
  • F.A. in Graphic Design, or other applicable degree, preferred
  • 10+ years of agency and/or industry experience
  • Expert knowledge in Macintosh platform, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and InDesign
  • Expert knowledge in graphic production
  • Experience art directing fashion photography
  • Proven ability to execute visionary design strategies on an ecommerce platform
  • Ability to link creative to strategy
  • Experience directing photoshoots
  • Excellent eye for color management
  • Knowledge of current on-figure and still-life photographers
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Omnichannel marketing experience within print and digital preferred
  • Knowledge of responsive design best practices a plus
