Specific Responsibilities

The Junior Copywriter will work in our marketing department across all GBG brands, including Katy Perry Footwear, Ellen Tracy, Jones New York, Kenneth Cole and more. Work will primarily be digital-driven, using seasonal strategies and storytelling to create on-brand copy and messaging through a variety of eCommerce projects from product descriptions to emails. The Junior Copywriter must be able to thrive in fast-paced environment, comfortable working with multiple brand voices, and understand the importance of the customer relationship. This is a great place to immerse yourself in the business as well as learn all the ins and outs of copywriting and brand marketing.

 

  • Translate creative brand strategies into engaging and meaningful copy.
  • Produce quick turn-around of exceptional copywriting and proofreading.
  • Create digital copy and messaging for eCommerce, including emails, email subject lines, banner copy, social ads, promotional copy, web descriptions and more.
  • Work on a variety of brands, constantly moving between different brand voices and categories. 
  • Execute projects from kickoff to concept, outline, and draft stages with revisions. 

Skills and Requirements

  • Excellent writing skills with a strong attention to detail and ability to mirror brand voices.
  • Ability to thrive in high volume, deadline-driven environment with aggressive turnaround times.
  • Interest in fashion and understanding of core fashion product terminology.
  • Collaborative communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to direction and feedback.
  • Proficiency in a Mac environment using Word, Excel required.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in English or Liberal Arts preferred.
