Boyswear Designer - 12 Month Contract

Specific Responsibilities

To design and develop new product ranges in response to the business and customer

needs. Creation of new product ranges in line with market trends and fashion direction.


Strategy & Innovation:

·         Compile trend research & attend shopping trips

·         Design to customer/ sales brief. Work with  creative flair whilst understanding price restraints

·         Present internal & external trend

·         Competitive shop reports to review the market trends & pricing structures       


Operations & Results:

·         General  upkeep of the design/artwork files

·         Co-ordinate artwork sheets & tech packs

·         Work with approvals team to get artworks approved as required

·         Work to CP dates

·         Make sample comments/ check strike offs & be involved in fit sessions


Customers & Relationships:

·          Attend customer meetings with Sales

·          Work closely with ICO’s to source new fabrics & techniques.

·          Build relationships with customers communicating with them on a regular basis

Skills and Requirements

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Design related Degree2/1 or above
  • Good drawing skills/ creative flair & strong graphic handwriting
  • Strong CAD knowledge
  • Good garment knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
