Director, Order Management


Specific Responsibilities

The OMG Director position is directly responsible for managing the TSG Order Management Staff. The primary role of the Director is to ensure operational tasks are completed according to Service Level Agreements (SLA’s). This role reports directly to the OMG Sr Director.


  • Manages TSG Order Management Groups
  • Implements best practices from TSG/Business Streams
  • Integrates company acquisitions into TSG
  • Implements initiatives driven by OMG Sr Director
  • Acts as primary point of contact for issues/questions regarding inventory, material, PO, SO creation and maintenance
  • Manages all new product/brand launches to ensure proper handling, accuracy and timeliness
  • Monitor and ensure all SLAs are met by 3PL partners
  • Helps to implement changes and improvements to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) including changes to Order management, inventory management, distribution management, imports, material creation, PO/SO creation, Product Costing, Vendor Maintenance and Customer Set up
  • Works with SAP Implementation Team to test any system modifications associated with Order Management
  • Verifies accuracy of inventory mgmt, material creation and maintenance, purchase order/sales order creation and maintenance
  • Helps to manage annual physical inventories to ensure order files are cleaned up, provide necessary help to inventory and finance team (travel, reconciliation, etc)
  • Review Operational chargebacks with Compliance team
  • Manage overall system data integrity including material creation, sales orders and production orders

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
  • Strong Management Background (20+ staff)  in the Apparel/Accessories/Footwear Industry
  • Working Knowledge of Supply Chain Management (SCM)
  • Excellent project management, team building and communication skills
  • EDI and ERP Software experience, preferably SAP, required
  • Knowledge of retail math
  • Ability to learn difficult concepts quickly while offering creative solutions to problem solving
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to set priorities effectively
