Specific Responsibilities

Right arm to Design Director. Sketches and details out all bodies to include fabrication and art treatments to get accurate cost. Works on licensor submissions. Attend internal account meeting. Steps in for Director in his/her absence.     
                              

Strategy & Innovation

  • Body sketches.
  • Detail all garment construction and art techniques.
  • Work closely with Tech team on spec and fit approvals.
  • Review folders for specific accounts for approval to drop to factory. This would entail reviewing BOM, art pages, colors and marker placements.
  • Set up cads for “pre” licensor approval.
  • Partner with Design Director on entire process.
  • Help manage team/workload.
  • Prepare cads for artist including sketch and detail prior to artists designing.
  • Monitor all licensor comments and prioritize with Design Director.

Operations & Results

  • Seamless communication with Design Director, production and artist on all bodies to ensure we are not designing in the dark.
  • Attend all licensor meetings to be sure of total awareness on all licensing details including movie releases.
  • Monitor all licensor comments and prioritize with Design Director.
  • Maintain a seamless workflow within the department.

Customers & Relationships

  • Communicate with our licensing team on licensor approvals.
  • Partner with production and tech department on all bodies/costing.

Leadership & Teams

  • Contribute positively to team dynamic and manage up where necessary.             

Skills and Requirements

 

  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with garment construction and fabrications a must.
  • Proficient in Photoshop highly welcomed.
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator.
  • Any experience Microsoft Office would be helpful.
  • Flex PLM experience would aide in training process.
  • Licensing experience a plus.
  • Enjoys high energy environment.
